Passionate about pursuing engineering but don’t have the necessary NCEA Level 3 credits in Calculus or Physics? We offer two papers through the Jump Start Programme starting late January designed especially for prospective engineering students.

Waikato engineering students can gain a unique business edge by concurrently studying towards a Diploma in Engineering Management along side the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) all within 4 years.

This dual qualification equips graduates with enhanced business management expertise in preparation of rapid progression into management and leadership positions.

Our Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) students complete 800 hours of work placement – usually paid - within their degrees, supported by our dedicated Work Integrated Learning team. Often this results in a permanent job when they finish their studies.

You can start your engineering degree in either Hamilton or Tauranga. Our Tauranga students benefit from smaller class sizes and new, state-of-the-art facilities in our award-winning building located in the heart of the Tauranga CBD.
