International orientations and events
The Waikato student experience is memorable. We have a diverse group of people with different cultures and ideas, which creates a vibrant student atmosphere.

International orientation event
International Orientation is held the week before the start of the trimester. It's a chance for new international students to find their way around, be given essential information and make new friends.

International day
With staff and students from over 80 countries, it is important for us to celebrate our rich diversity.

International student trips
Throughout the year our International Student Services Team organise a range of fun trips - a great way for you to see and engage with some of our best attractions and make new friends.

Student Clubs
There are a variety of student-run clubs and societies for you to join, ranging from academic and cultural clubs, to sports and religion. The Waikato Students' Union provides a full list of clubs.
