The Panopto App

You can download the free Panopto Mobile App by searching for it on the App Store or Google Play.

The login process for the Panopto Mobile App may vary for Apple and Android mobile phone users. The steps outlined below explain the general login procedure.

1. Open the app, enter your University of Waikato email address, then click Next to complete the login process.Note: Most Apple users will encounter a pop-up window when opening the app. Click Continue to allow the Panopto Mobile App to use the Panopto website for signing in.
   
2. When prompted, you will be redirected to The University of Waikato Moodle Sign in page. The University of Waikato Panopto uses your Moodle account to provide access to your Panopto content. Enter your University of Waikato Username and Password, then select Sign in.
3. After successfully signing in, you will be guided to the app's homepage.

Note: Alternatively, you can log in to the Panopto Mobile App by selecting Enter a site manually as shown in the following steps.

1. 1. In the top right corner select the kebab menu icon (⋮).
      
   2. Click Enter a site manually.
   3. Enter waikato.au.panopto.com, then select Return.
   4. You will be redirected to The University of Waikato Moodle Sign in page. Enter your University of Waikato Username and Password, then select Sign in.

1. At the bottom of the app, you will see three icons that correspond to the app's three main sections: Home, My Stuff, and Browse.
2. If you click on Home in the Panopto app, you will find the same sections as you would on your Panopto homepage, featuring Continue Watching and What's New.
3. If you select the star icon for My Stuff, additional sections will be revealed including Shared with Me and Recently Watched.
   
   Note: The videos displayed on this tab are directly linked to your activity on Panopto.
4. Browse is your Panopto folder directory.

Note: In Browse, if you select a folder that has subfolders, a drop-down menu appears enabling you to choose the specific subfolder you wish to open.

5. In the lower right corner, select the plus icon (+) to record a video, upload media or join an existing recording.
6. A pop-up menu will appear at the bottom of your screen. Select your desired action: Record a video, Upload media or Join an existing recording.
