Jin is responsible for preparing, reviewing, managing and negotiating research contracts for the School of Arts, Psychology, Social Sciences, Education, Law, Management, Māori & Indigenous Studies, and the Te Kotahi Research Institute.

Prior to joining the Research Office, Jin practiced law in law firms in her native Malaysia and worked as a Contracts Manager in New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Reading in England and a Master of Laws (First Class Honours in Corporate and Commercial Law) from the University of Auckland.
